OUR HORSES
Charlie

Not adoptable at this time.

12 yr old Welsh Pony. Charlie is our abuse
case. He was severely beaten by men. When
he first arrived here at TLHR he would not
come near anyone. With a lot of work, love and
patience he is now very lovable. He still has
some issues with being brushed and bathed
but he is coming around. We still have issues
when it comes to his feet being done. He will
do pretty good on his front feet but still fights
when you touch his back legs.

Trooper - Adopted

7 year old Arabian (gray dapple). Trooper was
our starvation case. He came to us from a
home north of Atlanta. Trooper gained the
weight he needed within 6 months. Green
broke and very lovable.

Trooper has found a wonderful home and is
being spoiled on a daily basis.

Watch for updated pictures. Time for his
inspection.
Ginger - Adopted

4 year old Quarter Horse. Ginger was also a
starvation case, she came
here with Trooper. Within 6 months Ginger had
gained the weight she
needed.

She is a beautiful horse with a wonderful
attitude. Ginger loves
her new family and is doing beautifully.

Watch for updated pictures. Time for her
inspection.
Grace

Not adoptable at this time.

4 yr old Registered Arabian mix. Grace came to
us from NE Florida. Her
owners could no longer keep her so they
brought her here to TLHR.
Grace is looking at surgery down the road, she
has a soft cleft palette
(hole in the top of her mouth - food/water drains
out her nose when she
eats/drinks), see picture. She has not been
trained to ride.

Surgery will hopefully be in the near future. We
are applying for some
medical grants and hopefully we will hear back
soon on them.

bills please click on

Bubba - Adopted

7 yr old Miniature Pony. Bubba came to us
with Trooper and Ginger. He was not really a
starvation case, he was nice and plump when
he arrived at TLHR. Bubba is an escape artist
- he sees something he wants, he finds a way
out and gets it. He also
crazy and follow you around wherever you go.
Bubba loves all kinds of treats.

Bubba has found a terrific, loving home. He is
such a spoiled baby. He loves his new family
and they love him deeply.

Watch for updated picture - time for Bubba's
inspection.
Lucky - Adoptable

4 yr old Palomino Gelding. Lucky was kicked
by a cow when he was a baby that is why he
has calcium deposits on his stomach and
spine. Lucky also has curvature of the spine.
He is a wonderful horse.

Lucky has gained approximately 100 pounds
since his arrival. Per our vet, we need to keep
his weight where it is. If he gains to much
weight it will cause him pain and the excess
weight will not be good for his back.

Lucky is very lovable. He loves his treats, and
it doesn't matter what kind of treats they are
either. Of course he does not like to share - he
wants them all to himself.

Lucky is available for adoption - pasture mate
only. He cannot be ridden.

Sally Belle is a 20+ Bay Quarter Horse, 14.1
Hands and weighs 640 lbs. We purchased her
for $30.00 at the auction in Hazlehurst, Georgia.
She is a sweetheart and is adjusting very nicely.

Sally has captured the hearts of many. Your
heart breaks when you see the condition she
was in when she arrived. She has had her feet
done, vet checked, and adjusting beautifully.

Sally Belle loves baths, attention and treats. It
took some convincing to get her to take a carrot
or apple, but after that first bite - can't stop her
now when she sees them coming. It made me
think that she never even tasted carrots or
apples before.

Sally is not available for adoption - she still
needs weight gain.

These pictures are from her arrival - new ones
will be posted soon.

Please watch for updates on Sally as time goes
by. We will post her progress.
